A motorcycle accident in Phoenix Arizona kills four and injures five when a dump truck plowed into eight motorcycles. The accident occurred around 1 p.m. when eight motorcyclists stopped at a traffic light were plowed over by a dump truck. The accident occurred when the truck ran over the motorcycles and crashed into an SUV.

Witnesses told officers that the bikes immediately went into flames while several other motorcycles were dragged by the truck. According to reports there were three people that were trapped underneath the truck when it stopped.

The driver of the dump truck received minor injuries from the accident. A witness who said she talked to the truck driver soon after the accident occurred told The Arizona Republic that he appeared to be in shock after the wreck. Although detectives couldn’t confirm or deny, according to the witness the driver of the truck was not paying attention, prior to the accident occurring.

According to records the driver was cited for breaking the speed limit earlier in the month.
