Medical Malpractice Lawsuit Against Organ Donor in Indiana

Two families from Indiana have filed a medical malpractice suit after their loved ones died after receiving an organ transplant. The medical malpractice lawsuit was filed in Indiana after the two families claim that their loved ones died after receiving an organ tranplant from a cancer patient.

According to reports, the patient who donated her kidneys had skin cancer that ended up spreading to her kidneys and liver before she passed away.

The two men, one who has been identified as Anthony Taylor from South Bend, IN, 45 years of age, died after receiving a kidney and liver transplant. Another man, whose name has not yet been released, died after receiving a kidney from the same woman.

The two families with the representation of medical mal attorneys claim the organ group did not properly screen the patient before the donation of her kidneys. Sources say, the group claims they are not at fault because the screening met both state and federal regulations.

Medical malpractice suits can take years before compensation is recovered if ever. The amount of money the families are suing for has not been disclosed at this time.
