New Jersey Car Accident Injures 1

A woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash off the New Jersey Turnpike.

The wreck is being investigated by the State Highway Patrol.

The accident, reported about 6 P.M., involved a car exiting off the turnpike when a truck crashed into the back end of the car.

The female driver that was struck was injured. Reports indicate the driver of the truck was not injured although both drivers were taken to receive further medical evaluations for the accident.

The cause of the accident is still unclear. According to reports, the driver of the truck collided with the car and rear ended the sedan. The collision which happened during rush hour delayed traffic for more than 20 minutes Northbound.

While the accident is still being investigated alcohol does not seem to be the cause of the accident.
