A Los Angeles woman who was paralyzed during back surgery was awarded 1.5 million dollars for a medical malpractice lawsuit.

The plaintiff in this case, Shanay Bridges, sued the county after a surgery in 2005. According to her attorney, Ms. Bridges received a surgery to her back after a car accident.
